We discuss price estimates with you before you commit.
The cost is .05 cents per square inch for sewing, quilting and putting on the binding.
There are additional costs for extra fabrics such as sashing, extra blocks and backing. The rate for these fabrics is approximately $12 per yard.
There is also a charge for batting (the fluffy layer between the top and back of the quilt). This runs about $10 per yard.
I will get the best price for the fabric and batting to make your quilt affordable.
As an example, a lap quilt that is 60 inches by 80 inches is 4800 square inches. Take that 4800 by .05 for a cost of $240. If there is just sashing between the shirts plus backing, it is about 5 to 6 yards of fabric which would be around $70 additional cost. Batting runs about $25. The total cost for the quilt would be around $330.
